Your photos and reports never leave your device
Road safety audits from dashcam video to Word report — with chainage on every photo.
Road Safety Audit Tool turns a drive along the corridor into a complete audit: GPS-linked chainage from your KMZ, one-click captures with the issue marked, and a structured report with annexures — for construction, operation and pre-opening audits.
What it does
Auditors usually drive the stretch, take hundreds of photos, note chainages by hand and spend days assembling the report. RSA Tool does the bookkeeping: it knows where on the road every frame was taken, keeps observations organised by category and sub-issue, and writes the report with the right photos in the right place.
It runs in the browser on a laptop or phone. You sign in with your licence; everything you capture stays on your own device.
How it works
- Step 1
Load the route
Open the project KMZ/KML. Chainage labels such as 12+340 are found automatically and used to calibrate the centreline.
- Step 2
Play the drive
Load dashcam or GoPro video with its GPS file — or go live at site with your phone's camera and GPS. The chainage follows the vehicle.
- Step 3
Capture issues
Pause, capture the frame, circle the hazard, pick the category. Observation and IRC-based recommendation are filled in for you.
- Step 4
Generate the report
One click builds the Word audit report: executive summary, observations by category, conclusion and a photo annexure per issue.
Features
Chainage calibration
Detects the centreline and chainage labels in your KMZ and interpolates between them; an offset field fine-tunes the alignment.
Any GPS format
GPX, SRT GPS subtitles (Viofo, BlackVue, Vantrue, 70mai, Thinkware…), CSV/TSV logs and fixed-column dashcam text — detected automatically.
Live at site
Use the device camera and GPS directly; every capture gets coordinates, time and chainage.
Issue library
17 audit categories with sub-issues, default risk and priority, and recommendations referencing IRC and MoRTH guidance.
Word report in minutes
Editable .docx with a data-driven executive summary, observation tables, conclusion and annexures with chainage tables.
Built for long drives
Multi-clip folders, playback up to 8×, keyboard shortcuts and a local database that keeps hours of captures smooth.
Your audit data stays on your device
Photos, videos, observations and reports are stored only in your browser's local database on the device you use — with an optional folder copy and ZIP export for backup. They are never uploaded to our servers.
Our server keeps only what is needed to run your licence: your account, licence and payment records, and usage information such as sign-ins and how many captures or reports were made (never their content). See the Privacy Policy.
